Resort Showcase – Disney’s Yacht Club Resort
Disney’s Yacht Club resort transports you to the seaside towns and lounges of New England.
Disney’s Yacht Club Resort opened its doors in 1990, welcoming guests to the timeless atmosphere of a sophisticated New England yacht club. The Deluxe resort is home to calming neutral tones, sleek dark wood and nautical accents that punctuate the property.
The Yacht Club sits along Crescent Lake, sharing space and several amenities with its partner resort, the Beach Club.
Guests of this resort are just a short walk away from EPCOT, or a boat ride away from Hollywood Studios, ensuring its popularity among Disney newcomers and veterans alike.
Rooms
Guests rooms feature the same neutral tones and sleek materials
that you’ll find throughout the resort.
The Yacht Club boasts around 650 rooms and suites, from Standard Queen rooms to two-bedroom suites that sleep up to six adults.
Guestrooms are outfitted with the same clean lines and classic colors as the rest of the resort, along with all the comforts that come along with its Deluxe tier status.
Choose from Standard, Water, Woods or Garden views, with the option to upgrade to Club Level access. Either way, Yacht Club rooms are almost all equipped with a full balcony or patio to enjoy as much outdoor time as possible.
Amenities
Once you check in, you’re welcomed by all of the quality amenities of a Deluxe resort, including toiletries, pool towels, hair dryers, televisions, beverage coolers and unlimited in-room tea and coffee for the duration of your stay.
If you booked a Club Level room, you’ll also get key-card access to refreshments in the Regatta Club, as well as daily newspapers, housekeeping and concierge services and access to Disney Signature Services.
The Yacht Club and neighboring Beach Club Resorts are home to arguably the best pool on Disney property, Stormalong Bay. Between sand-bottomed pools, waterslides, pirate-themed kiddie areas and lazy river, Stormalong Bay is a bucket-list item for many guests wanting to take advantage of a relaxing resort day.
Guests can also take advantage of these additional resort amenities:
- Ship Shape Health Club
- Three additional leisure pools
- Poolside Cabanas
- Movies Under the Stars
- Campfire Activities
- Various on-site sports and rentals
- Lafferty Place Arcade
Transportation
Location, location, location!
The short walking distance to EPCOT is a huge draw for the Yacht Club Resort. Guests are also just steps away from the shops at the Boardwalk, or a boat ride away from Hollywood Studios.
Though it’s not a direct stop on the Skyliner route, the resort’s proximity to the EPCOT makes it a reasonable transportation option if you’d rather an aerial ride around property.
When in doubt, the Disney Bus system is also available for those heading to other parks or resorts.
For those who choose to rent or bring their own cars to the resort, expect to pay about $25 per night to park at the Yacht Club. Valet parking is also an option, and will run you around $33 per night.
