Resort Showcase – Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside Resort
Just look for the water wheel at Port Orleans Riverside’s main hub for dining, transportation, and entertainment at your home base resort.
Step over the threshold of Port Orleans Riverside Resort and into the charming world of the Louisiana bayou.
Opened in 1992, this Moderate resort is divided between the plantation-style mansions of Magnolia Bend and quaint wooden guest houses of Alligator Bayou. The grounds are thick with lush greenery, and antebellum-inspired buildings that sit along the picturesque Sassagoula River.
The welcoming atmosphere is woven throughout the resort upon the moment of check-in, from guest rooms to dining to entertainment, and mirrors the hospitality of nearby sister resort, Port Orleans French Quarter.
Rooms
Details from Princess and the Frog are sprinkled throughout many of the guest rooms.
Guests of Port Orleans Riverside can choose from Standard rooms with either double Queen or single King beds. These rooms are available with views ranging from Standard, to Woods, Pool or River views.
Traveling with an extra guest? There are also a number of Standard rooms outfitted for a fifth sleeper, with views of Woods or Standard resort areas.
For added convenience, Preferred Rooms are located closer to the Sassagoula Steamboat Company, dining, shopping and transportation. All Preferred Rooms offer fifth sleeper options, as well.
Port Orleans Riverside is also home to the Royal Guest Rooms, with extra-magical touches themed around Tiana and her princess friends. One of our favorite parts of these rooms are the headboards, which light up to give guests a whimsical fireworks display, right in their own room.

Port Orleans Riverside is outfitted with all of the comforts and amenities that you’d expect from a Disney Moderate resort. Inside, find hair dryers, coffee makers, irons and ironing boards, beverage coolers, and signature toiletries.
