Resort Showcase – Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
Walt Disney World’s first Moderate resort keeps you close to the action
while maintaining a comfy-casual atmosphere. Current refurbishments
will bring a fresh new look and feel to this family-favorite destination.
Get on island time and let yourself relax at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. This EPCOT-area hotel was Disney’s first Moderate resort when it opened back in 1998.
The property is divided out over five areas named after Caribbean islands – Aruba, Barbados, Jamaica, Martinique and Trinidad. The grounds are groomed with lush palm trees and colorfully-painted buildings that add to the inviting, laid-back atmosphere. With extra sleeper options and a stellar on-site pool, Caribbean Beach is an ideal getaway for families looking to spend time at their resort.
Rooms
Designed with families in mind, Caribbean Beach offers guest rooms with extra sleeper space to accommodate extra heads.
The rooms at Caribbean Beach reflect what you’d find at a resort in the islands, complete with natural wooden and woven elements, and punctuated with pops of color.
Guests choose between Standard and Preferred rooms, and Standard, Water or Pool views. If you’re traveling with additional little ones, you can also book a Standard room outfitted with a child-size pull-down bed to accommodate a fifth sleeper.
There are more than 1500 rooms spread across the five “islands,” but no matter which area you visit, you’re never far from a pool or bus stop.
Amenities
Caribbean Beach guests have various amenities to make their rooms a home-away-from-home, including hairdryers, beverage coolers, coffee makers, toiletries, irons and ironing boards, etc. You can also connect to free on-site WiFi once on property.
The Fuentes del Morro Pool is the focal point of water activities at Disney’s Caribbean Beach, featuring two waterslides, water cannons, a shipwreck splash zone, mini slides and more*. If you’re looking for a more serene experience, head over to the spa pool, or one of five leisure pools sprinkled around the resort.
Guests of Caribbean Beach can also take advantage of these additional resort amenities:
- Campfire activities
- Movies Under the Stars
- Jogging Trail
- Playground
- Various onsite sports and rentals
*Please note the Fuentes del Morro Pool will be closed for routine maintenance from January-April 2024.
Transportation
A large resort, Caribbean Beach relies heavily on the Disney bus system to get Guests from one place to another. Bus stops are peppered throughout the resort, but be sure to leave yourself enough time to around, considering how many guests are on property at any given time.
If you’re heading to/from EPCOT or Hollywood Studios, the Skyliner is a great option to fly overhead to your destination.
For those who choose to rent or bring their own cars to the resort, expect to pay about $20 per night to park at Disney’s Caribbean Beach.
*Please note Disney’s Skyliner will be closed for refurbishment from January 22-29, 2023.
