MVT Agent Spotlight: Holly
From her days on Main Street, U.S.A. with the Disney College Program to ziplining in Costa Rica with Adventures by Disney, Holly has wealth of experience to share.
For Holly, joining Magical Vacations Travel brought her experience and love for the Walt Disney Company full circle.
Holly’s passion for travel began early in life, and only widened when she started planning her own family’s vacations as a teenager.
“In college, I had the opportunity to be a part of the Disney College Program,” she said. “I worked on Main Street, U.S.A. as a cast member, and learned the very best of customer service from the Walt Disney Company. I always knew that I wanted to return to a professional relationship with the amazing company at some point in my career.”
Thirteen years ago, she did just that when she came to Magical Vacations Travel as an agent. Holly dove headfirst into the industry, learning all she could about new destinations and how to bring the best trips to her clients. Thanks in part to her vast experience with Walt Disney World, she amassed a client base so satisfied and loyal that they return again and again.
In January of 2023, Holly’s commitment paid off when she was promoted to Sales Manager for Magical Vacations Travel. Her new role banked on her professional expertise in fortifying relationships with partners, keeping clients apprised of the latest offers, and creating opportunities to expand the agency’s reach to new destinations.
“I love my new role as Sales Manager at Magical Vacations Travel,” she said. “It allows me to help support our agency as a whole and our agents – who are truly the BEST in the business – while continuing to work with my clients on their vacations.”
She may have started her journey with Disney, but through extensive training and firsthand intel, Holly now books her clients for cruises, all-inclusive resorts, destination weddings, European land vacations and more.
Luckily, her friends and family are always ready to join her for whatever adventure awaits. According to Holly, family cruises are always a huge hit, especially those with unique itineraries.
“We had the opportunity to be on the Inaugural sailing of the Disney Magic for its first trip to the British Isles in 2016. That was one of our most memorable family vacations,” she said.
Even just this past year, Holly was lucky enough to travel to Costa Rica with fellow agents Jessica, Candice and Cori for a Land Adventure with Adventures by Disney.
“This was an amazing experience,” she said. “To see the culture and storytelling that Disney can bring to a land trip was breathtaking. From volcanoes to zipping to the beach, it was a trip of a lifetime!” In addition to the adrenaline-pumping activities, Holly appreciated learning about the local traditions of coffee farming, tasting local cuisine and taking a dip in the luxurious hot springs.
Still, Holly finds herself (and her family!) returning to Walt Disney World time and time again.
After a day at the parks or dining at her favorites – Le Cellier in EPCOT or D-Luxe Burger in Disney Springs – she and her family prefer to come “home” to Wilderness Lodge.
“We love the feeling of coming back to the massive lodge, and feeling like we have ‘escaped’ central Florida,” she said. “The Lodge is a destination in and of itself.”
In the future, Holly already knows the destinations that top her travel bucket list.
“I want to go to two opposite ends!” she said. “I would like to visit Disney’s Aulani Resort and Spa in Hawaii, and I want to get back to Europe.” Having been to Hawaii in the past, she knows that adding the Disney magic will only make it better, and with a land adventure under her belt, she’s eager to mark river cruising off her list with Adventures by Disney.
With so much experience traveling and building dream vacations for her clients, it’s no surprise that Holly has become a wealth of knowledge for travelers and agents alike.
Her top tip for newcomers to Walt Disney World? Don’t forget to get out of the parks!
“Some of my family’s favorite activities are those outside of the four main parks,” she said, describing the Guided Fishing Excursions that leave from the banks of deluxe resorts. On a rainy or overly-hot day, she recommends heading to Disney Springs for a round or two of bowling at Splitsville, or resort hopping during the holidays to take in the decorative displays in resort lobbies.
Regardless of activities or where to stay, Holly reinforces that you don’t have to do it alone.
“There is no need to try to navigate everything by yourself. We are experts at what we do and provide complimentary support to you and your family while planning your vacation,” she said. “If COVID taught us anything with travel, it’s a great thing to have an advocate in your corner.”
