Get Excited for Walt Disney World this Spring
Visiting the Magic Kingdom this April? You could catch the last showing of “Disney Enchantment” and the reveal of the new “Happily Ever After” all in one trip!
For us, there’s no “wrong” time to pack your bags and head to Orlando for your first, second, third, or thirtieth trip to Walt Disney World. No matter what time of year you visit, you’re sure to find performances, festivals, rides and magic around every corner.
Still, there are so many updates and events coming this spring, that we’re even more ready to break out the ears and MagicBands. Let’s take a look at some of the highlights we’ve marked on our calendars:
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival
The charming topiaries return to EPCOT beginning March 1st, offering a fresh new look at your favorite characters while tasting your way through festive food booths scattered throughout the park.
The Garden Rocks Concert Series just released its lineup for the 2023 festival, where you can reserve guaranteed seats with a Garden Rocks Dining Package. Enjoy dinner at a selection of restaurants throughout EPCOT without having to worry about getting seats for your favorite performers.
Woody’s Round-Up Rodeo BBQ Opens
Disney foodies will have a new table service restaurant to cross off their lists as Woody’s Round-Up Rodeo BBQ opens its doors on March 23rd.
Jump right into the world of Andy’s toys, with décor that resembles much of what you’ll find throughout Toy Story Land. Even the place settings give nod to childhood charm, and serve up family-style BBQ favorites like smoked meats, mac & cheese, baked beans, cheddar biscuits and a variety of salads.
Happily Ever After Returns
A massive fan favorite, Happily Ever After returns to the Magic Kingdom on April 3rd. This nighttime spectacular features seamless projections, fireworks and music medleys that will have you mesmerized from start to finish.
Adding to the excitement, the updated show reportedly features projections all down Main Street, U.S.A.!
EPCOT Forever (temporarily) Returns
As Harmonious gives its final showing on April 2nd, EPCOT Forever is slated to temporarily return to the park until Imagineers are ready to debut a new nighttime experience for Guests.
TRON Lightcycle / Run Opens
One of the most highly-anticipated ride openings to date, TRON Lightcycle / Run will welcome riders to the Grid beginning April 4th.
The curved canopy – also known as the “Upload Conduit” – was officially turned on at the end of January, and Castmember previews have already begun for the Magic Kingdom’s newest coaster. Expect motorbike seats and plenty of LEDs as you cycle both in and outside throughout the course of the ride.
