Agent Spotlight: Carol L.
From her first trip, Walt Disney World has always been a family affair across parks, resorts and cruises.
Not every Disney journey begins in childhood. Some start later in life, and the experience is just as magical.
For MVT Agent Carol L., Walt Disney World became a staple after seeing it for the first time more than 30 years ago, when she visited with her then-9- and 10-year-old nieces. Even as an adult, Carol could see how special a destination it was, though she had no idea how great an impact it would eventually have on her everyday.
“That trip changed my life!,” she said. “I immediately felt the magic of being in the Walt Disney World bubble.”
Fast forward to 2006, when Carol earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work and wanted to celebrate graduation in a big way. She chose Walt Disney World, and turned to Magical Vacations Travel to help build a commemorative trip that she’d never forget.
That trip truly put Carol’s Disney wheels in motion.
She booked her first Disney Cruise on the Disney Magic a year later, and was so impressed that she barely crossed the gangway before planning her return.
“I wasn’t aboard that cruise for more than 24 hours when I started scheming a plan to get my brother and his family on board, too!” she said. A year and a half later, Carol was able to make her dream family vacation a reality, a trip she hails as one of her best trips to date.
“It was during that planning that I joined MVT as a travel planner,” she said, “it’s been fantastic and I love this team more than ever!”
She credits her social work background as a huge advantage when it comes to building memorable Disney vacations for her clients. Not only was she interested in learning all there was to know about Disney products and destinations, but she understands the needs of her clients and how to best fulfill them.
“I just naturally wanted to help enhance families’ experiences in a place that is so extra special to me,” she said.
Carol makes a point to revisit Disney properties whenever she can to keep up on updates, and of course enjoy the parks, ships and resorts for herself. Whether it be the Hall of Presidents and a dinner at Liberty Tree tavern, or working towards her goal of becoming a Pearl Castaway Club Member on the open seas, she doesn’t plan on slowing down yet.
Carol currently books her clients across Disney Destinations, but is looking into expanding to Universal Orlando, as well, with its growing popularity and brand new park coming in 2025.
Carol never misses a chance for a PhotoPass Magic Shot to remember her Disney trips.
Her experience with Magical Vacations Travel over the years has proven to Carol the unmatched value in using a travel advisor.
Not only will they do the leg work for you, but their goal is to get clients the best possible deal on the vacation of their dreams. Agents will continuously research and scan deals to do right by their clients.
“Michele has done a fantastic job selecting the best of the best to bring onboard, and each member brings their ‘A’ game to the team!” she said, adding that clients shouldn’t fear asking their agent questions about their trip before, during or after they travel.
With so many trips under her belt, it’s no surprise that Carol gets the question… “Why do you keep returning to Disney?”
“Why not?” she said. “It’s a wonderful place, always a great time, and new experiences to be had every time.” A Disney Vacation Club Member herself, Carol hardly needs a reason to go back time and time again, and stresses that the “Disney bubble” has opportunities for all types of travelers – whether they be solo, couples, families, and even large groups.
Like many of our agents, Carol’s top advice for a Disney newcomer is to be flexible. Use the help of agents and understand that you can’t do it all in one trip.
“Everyone can find things they enjoy,” she said. “Disney Destinations are awesome experiences if you have the desire to be like Dory and ‘Just Keep Swimming.”
